Colorado Music Hall of Fame is located at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre Trading Post, a 30-minute drive from Denver.
Colorado Hall of Fame’s museum is an ideal place to bring the entire family or out-of-town guests to learn about the talented men, women, and institutions that have shaped the culture of Colorado’s music history. While you’re there, you can visit one of the most iconic natural amphitheaters in the world, Red Rocks Amphitheatre.
Colorado Music Hall of Fame is home to exhibits of famous Colorado musicians such as John Denver, Dianne Reeves, Dan Fogelberg, Philip Bailey, and Judy Collins, as well as institutions like the legendary Caribou Ranch recording studio and many more. Celebrating Hall of Fame inductees from our inaugural class in 2011 to the present day, the exhibits include artifacts, video biographies and written overviews of the legacies that inductees have left on Colorado’s music history.
Planning Your Visit
Plan to spend 45 minutes to an hour at the museum in order to fully experience the exhibits and learn about the incredible legacy of Colorado music. The exhibits are self-guided, as the museum is not staffed.
Location and Directions
Colorado Music Hall of Fame museum is located at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre Trading Post just to the east (and down the hill about 100 yards) from the main stage at Red Rocks in Morrison, Colorado. The museum shares its home with the Red Rocks gift shop.
After you’ve entered Red Rocks, follow signs to the Trading Post.
Note: Colorado Music Hall of Fame is not to be confused with the Red Rocks Performers Hall of Fame, located above the amphitheater in the Visitors Center (which is another wonderful stop you can make when you visit the Colorado Music Hall of Fame museum).
Parking
Numerous free parking spots are available in the south lot adjacent to the Trading Post building, including four charging stations for guests driving electric/hybrid cars.
Museum Hours
Colorado Music Hall of Fame is open daily from 10 am – 6 pm.
Admission
Admission is free and no reservations are required. However, as a nonprofit organization, Colorado Music Hall of Fame welcomes donations of all sizes. Donations allow us to continue to honor new inductees and expand and improve our exhibits. A donation collection box is located in the back of the main room underneath the Colorado Music Hall of Fame banner.
Accessibility
Colorado Music Hall of Fame is wheelchair-accessible and ADA-compliant. Service animals are welcome. At this time, we do not have active listening devices available.

Before and After Your Visit
The world-renowned Red Rocks Amphitheatre is a stone’s throw from the Hall of Fame. Musicians from all over the globe have performed some of Colorado’s most memorable concerts in this remarkable venue. While visiting the Hall of Fame, you can also walk around the amphitheater, take photos from the stage, marvel at the majesty of the views, hike the trails or have a picnic. The Red Rocks Visitors Center, at the top of the amphitheater, has its own Red Rocks Hall of Fame inside, which is well worth a visit. The Red Rocks Visitors Center and Ship Rock Grille are closed for renovations until Summer 2023.
